Our Mission

NARBE Foundation invests in projects that prove people with complex needs deserve autonomy, connection, and choice. We support the builders and share what works.

Founders' Story

We are Ari, Nancy, and Ben — a family, and a team. Ben lives with an ultra-rare condition called TUBB4A-related leukodystrophy. As his condition progressed, he became nonspeaking and quadriplegic, leaving him with very limited options for interaction.

When we searched for tools to help Ben, most focused only on basic communication. Ben wanted more — to play games, browse the internet, watch his favorite shows, and truly connect with the world. So, we built our own custom two-button system that Ben controls with his head.

Our focus is now on sharing these games and tools, optimized specifically for one and two button users, so others can find the same joy and connection.

Our Projects

NARBE Foundation supports independent projects that advance switch access. Here's what we're backing right now.

Benny's Hub

The project that started it all. Built specifically for Ben — nonspeaking, quadriplegic, with two-button access — and released for anyone to use. Available as a free web app, and the Electron App is available on GitHub.

SwitchedGames

A growing library of free one and two switch games, built by NARBE House and a community of volunteers. Play free in your browser and explore games designed for one and two switch access.
